A load of my friends recently bought Spore, and have been enjoying it rather a lot, badgering me to buy it etc. I ended up getting Spore Origins for my iPhone, and to be fair its great fun. So much so that I will probably buy it for the PC for the more involved gameplay etc.

Anyway something that made me laugh out loud today is the creation (pun intended, but you’ll see why in a minute) of http://antispore.com – a Christian site that claims Spore is EA’s “biggest attack on Christian values to date”.

The site’s about page reads:

I created this blog to find support for and follow my progress in letting Electronic Arts know that their biggest attack on Christian values to date will not be tolerated.

We can not allow the gaming industry to invade our homes and poison the minds of our children.

After all, their billions in revenue and all the advertising in the world are no match for the power of God.

Plus, to top it all off, the site owner has Google Ads on his site… and amusingly, this instantly Fails:

  • I'm really excited about the idea that games can learn about the player and will develop very deep insight into the player's psychology, their aesthetics, their skill levels, and customize the game to that player uniquely.
