
Today Google’s Official Blog let the world know that the beta client of the rumoured gBrowser (now confirmed as being called “Chrome”) is to be released on Windows tomorrow today in 100 countries.
Reading the brief write-up on Google’s ideas for the browser, it sounds promising:
On the surface, we designed a browser window that is streamlined and simple. To most people, it isn’t the browser that matters. It’s only a tool to run the important stuff — the pages, sites and applications that make up the web. Like the classic Google homepage, Google Chrome is clean and fast. It gets out of your way and gets you where you want to go.

I’ll be checking it out tomorrow as soon as I’m able, and I’ll more than likely update this post with my impressions/findings… but Mozilla have already said that they “aren’t worried” by Google’s step into the browser warzone, which Mozilla’s Firefox has been dominating of late.
